Book Week 2025

It has been a very busy book week (3rd - 7th March), here are some of the highlights.

• Monday - The Gruffalo and Willy Wonka visited from Sligo Library. We enjoyed their reading of 'The Golden Hare', they also had a mini book quiz and there were lots of questions and answers about types of books, reading, the library space and more.

• Tuesday - Paired reading followed by delicious homemade pancakes!

• Wednesday - Author Halyna came to the junior classes with one of her novels 'The Snow Giant'. The children enjoyed making eco-pets and learned a lot about looking after the environment.

• Thursday - World Book Day! Dress up day with a costume parade. 3rd - 6th Class also presented short stories that they had been working on throughout the week.
